Who was Shakespeare ?

Do a quick search and see if you can piece together who Shakespeare was. What do we know about him, and what are we left to wonder? Write about how Shakespeare is perceived by students? How you have progressed in your understanding of his work over the years. What do you "get" now that you didn't before? What still causes you to struggle?

William Shakespeare, from England and was born on 04/23/1564. He was an English play writer and poet, which he is what he is known for. Shakespeare was son of William and Mary.  By the age 18 he was married to Anne Hathaway and had three children, Hamlet, Susanna, and Judith. He wrote 154 sonnets about lost love and 36 plays about tragedy, which have been studied and translated. He died in 1664 at the age of 53. Usually when students think of Shakespeare they think of these plays that are very difficult to understand because of the structure and the language.Analyzing his work helps a lot it helps you get the full understanding of the play. His piece of literature aren't as hard as they seem you just need to be able to analyze what is going on. the language that he uses is hard for me to understand as well as for over because it is so different then the way we speak now.
