Mid-term Reflection

a) What went well?  
-Overall the midterm went well. I knew most of the material and I was satisfied with my matching.
b) What didn't go well?  
-The last section of the Midterm was the hardest for me. I was beginning to questioning my answers. Also I was beginning  to mixed up the definitions.
c) How much of the content will stick with you?  
- I'm sure that at least half of the words will stick with me, but I might need to look over my flashcards. I mostly likely will forget some words but I can always go back.
d) What can you learn from the experience to improve for next time?
- I think I did a good job studying but I could have studied more. So I wont be reluctant on my choice of the definitions. All of the words and definitions made me confused especially if the words were similar.

Letter Ophelia

                 

 Imagine you're answering a letter that says, My name is O. and I'm trapped in this weird sort of dating thing-- a prince says he loves me, but my father & brother hate him and tell me to stay away. What should I do? 

             

I know that you are in a tough situation. You must have a lot on your mind, your not quiet sure who to believe your love e for Hamlet or you family. I know you think your father is cantankerous for think that because you are in love and no one wants to listen to their parents. Also that right now is the heyday of your life, but it’s not. It’s your first love and you truly believe that he is the one, but you need to remember that people change. You have to realize that they aren’t trying to inhibit you from loving or being happy they are just looking out for you. Sure you guys bicker over this now, but if he really isn’t what he says you are going to regret not listening to them because they are only saying this because they care. All your father and brother are telling you could be a bode for the future. Men are noxious beings, but not all of them and the only way that you will find out will be if you discover it yourself with your own experience because no one can go through experiences for you. The only one who can put an adjudicate to this relationship is you and Hamlet, this relationship is between you and him no one else. You guys are the only ones who will truly adumbrate because you guys know what you want. The only thing you can do from your experiences is Burgeon. The advice I give you is to do what you think is right, follow your heart because you must be true to your heart. I give kudos to whatever decision you make.

midterm review/study strategy

The strategy that I am using is the old fashion way which is flash cards. I memorize the words by reading them and then rewriting them. It is the most effective method that i have used not only for vocabulary but other classes as well. I also connect the words to other things because I remember the little stories that I  make in my head. I also make small songs in my head.

Pre-Will questions

        a)   What do you know about Hamlet, the "Melancholy Dane"? 

- I know that Hamlet was written by William Shakespeare. It is one of his most famous pieces although that it is his longest. His play is tragedy which is about hamlet is trying to get revenge on his uncle.

b) What do you know about Shakespeare? 

                - Shakespeare is well known all over the world for his unique style of writing. His poems were one of a kind. He would use that iambic pentameter, which you only use ten syllables. He has also written Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth.  

 c) Why do so many students involuntarily frown when they hear the name "Shakespeare"? 

-Usually when people think of Shakespeare they think of an old man’s work that is very difficult to understand. The style that he uses can be difficult to understand because of the language. The language is different; it isn’t like how it is now days.

d) What can we do to make studying this play an amazing experience we'll never forget?

                - To make studying this play more exciting and unforgettable we can reenact it. I think that it is such a great idea we can all have a part in it. It can be easier for use to actually understand. Most likely not all of us will understand it with Shakespeare style of writing and this can help them fully understand it.
